October / November Events Round-Up
Hello Neighbors! If you’ve lived in Austin long enough, you know that October (and November too!) can get a little crazy with so many events. To help you sort it out, here’s a few happening in our neighborhood – some sponsored by OWANA, and others by fellow neighborhood organizations, so we hope to see you at
one or more of them!
Here’s the list if you prefer things short and sweet:
October 19: Pressler Pour at Flower Hill Center
October 25: Mathews Elementary Octoberama
October 31: Pre-Trick-or-Treating Party at West Austin Park
November 8: Live Music in West Austin Park
Sunday, October 19 1pm – 5pm: Pressler Pour at Flower Hill Center
Join the Flower Hill Center to celebrate the history of the old Pressler Beer Garden in our neighborhood, and enjoy a drink from great local breweries at the Pressler Pour.
Saturday, October 25 11am – 3pm: Mathews Elementary Octoberama
Mathews Elementary’s annual fall fundraiser is a FREE event that will include medieval fun, games, food, music, and merriment. ALL are welcome (even if you don’t have a child at Mathews!), and if you’re not up for carnival games then be sure to check out the great items in the Silent Auction!
Friday, October 31 6pm – ~7:30pm: Annual Pre-Trick or Treating Party!
Join OWANA for the annual party in West Austin Park before kids take over our streets looking for candy! Pizza, drinks, and snacks will be provided for the kids, and it’s BYOB for adults. We can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes!

Saturday, November 8 1pm – 5pm: Live Music in West Austin Park
OWANA’s Live Music in West Austin Park is happening again! As usual, we’ll have a great line-up of talented local musicians, and Hot Dog King will be our food vendor. Bring your blankets, chairs, beverage of choice, and friendly dogs on leashes to the park to hear some great music. See you there!
