Volunteer Opportunity

Become a docent at the Haskell House! Being a docent is a fun way to meet new people, including people from other parts of the countryand the world. Visitors never fail to be interested in the story of the House and Clarksville, and in the historic photos lining the walls of the House. They also enjoy checking out the Clarksville Community Garden and the Hezikiah Haskell House Heritage Garden.

Now, some days at the House can be slow, which means you may talk to few, if any, visitors. The upside of this is that you can read, write, and catch up on your emails (There is Google Fiber at the House) in a peaceful, historic environment. And by the way, as a docent you will be under no obligation to volunteer at the House a specific number of days. How often you do will be up to you.

If you are interested in becoming a docent or have questions, contact mrpraustin@gmail.com or call 512-657-5289.
