Sunday, Nov. 18, noon - 4pm.
Please walk or bike if possible. Old West Austin neighborhood has won the
city's contest to reduce energy consumption: "[O]ver the course of
the entire four months, participants in Old West Austin reduced their
electricity usage by the highest percentage of all the participating
neighborhoods (33.95%)."

Department's Commander's Forum for Downtown area residents. Thursday,
August 30 at 6 PM. Mexican-American Cultural Center, 600 River St.
(near Rainey). It will be a chance to meet the new Chief. - 8/21/07

These
3 officers are specifically assigned as described below:
There
are actually three District Representatives that cover the Downtown
Area Command. The Downtown Area Command covers the downtown area, which
includes the warehouse district, west campus and the Clarksville area
from the river north to 12th St. We actually share each others work so
that we all know whats going on in each area. Please feel free to
contact us with any concerns you might have and we will try to help you
as much as possible. We are currently being pulled out of the office at
different times to rotate through patrol a month at a time so, if we
don't answer the phone e-mail us and we will get back to you as soon as
we can.

The Steering Committee meets every month
on the first Monday when
there isn't a General Membership meeting. Meetings are held at the
Clarksville Community Center on West 11th. These meetings are
open to all OWANA members.
