OWANA - Old West Austin Neighborhood Association

OWANA (Old West Austin Neighborhood Association) serves the area bounded by Mopac Expressway on the west, Enfield Road on the north, Lamar Boulevard on the east, and Town Lake on the south.

OWANA is open to all residents of the neighborhood, not just homeowners. OWANA is a non-profit, non-partisan organization within which the residents of the neighborhood can promote their common interests with regard to preserving and enhancing the quality of life, safety, residential characteristics, and property values of their neighborhood in particular, and in all neighborhoods generally. (See OWANA Bylaws).

OWANA represents the neighborhood to city officials and seeks to address issues that affect our neighborhood, including planning and development, traffic, and city services. In 1999 OWANA sponsored the development of the Old West Austin Neighborhood Plan. The Plan was adopted by the City Council and continues to serve as a guide for maintaining and improving our quality of life.
