West Austin Park Planning Meeting: May 26, 2010
You may have noticed that work has begun on the pool in West Austin Park and that the tennis court is being removed. Friends of West Austin Park is a newly formed group to work on long-term support for this great part of our neighborhood. Friends and TBG Partners would like to hear the whole neighborhood’s voice on improving and restoring the rest of our beautiful park.
Please come share your ideas and visions for the park at an all-neighborhood meeting on Wednesday, May 26, from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at Mathews Elementary Cafeteria. Everyone is welcome. We want the whole neighborhood’s voice to be heard!
Babysitting can be provided at Mathews during the meeting – RSVP to mburcim@yahoo.com if you are bringing children.
TBG Partners is a landscape architecture and planning firm. They will be leading this meeting with the goal of obtaining as much neighborhood input as possible to incorporate into plans for the park. This information will be used to create a master plan for the park. They are looking for ideas from everyone, whether you take your kids to the playground and pool, dogs to the fenced area, play sports, or just relax under the trees.
